“Reflections
on Forgiveness: A Soul Care Day for Women”
Saturday,
March 17 from 10AM to 4PM
Hope
Christian Church, 58 Mount Vernon St., Winchester, MA
“Join
in for a day of Lenten reflection on forgiveness – God’s
forgiveness of us and our forgiveness of ourselves and others. As we
step out of our busy schedules into this spacious place we will spend
time in God’s Word, listen to His voice, and receive healing and
hope as we are silent together.”
This
is a one-day Lenten Women’s Retreat. Sign-up sheet and complete
information is available on the bulletin board outside the Pastor’s
office. Please sign up so we can carpool together and complete your
own direct payment of $35 for the day including lunch (see details on
the bulletin board). At this time over a dozen women from our
Church will be attending.
- In the event of a closing or delayed opening due to inclement
weather or other emergency, and an announcement will be made on WATD 95.9 FM, and will be posted on the web site.
- Our telephone chain will be activated to notify key personnel.
- A determination of church program status will be made and
communicated as expeditiously as possible. The goal is to make a
determination by 8:00 am.
Worship Services, Sunday Programs, and Special Events
- Every effort will be made to conduct Sunday morning worship and
Sunday School. Only extremely hazardous weather, impassable travel
conditions, severe damage to facilities, and/or a power outage at the
church will cause a cancellation.
- If at all possible, weddings, funerals, and major one‑time special events will be conducted as scheduled.
- In the event of the cancellation of events such as youth group
meetings or Bible study groups, the participants in that group will be
contacted directly by that group’s leaders. For information about
the cancellation of meetings of non-church groups taking place at the
church, such as AA or dance classes, please contact the leaders of these
groups for their cancellation policies.
Weekday Office Operations
The church office will remain open whenever possible. The Pastor
will determine if the weather conditions are too extreme for the office
to open. In the event that the office is closed, an announcement
will be available on the voicemail message at 781-834-7664 and on the
FCC website.
